Catalogue of the dramas that led to PSquare’s recent split

Top Nigerian R&B duo, Peter and Paul Okoye (PSquare) have split again. This can be confirmed via their recent posts on social media and the letter to Festus Keyamo (requesting the termination of the group’s contract).
The twin singers have had countless disagreements over time – and with their recent posts on Instagram, it’s clear that things aren’t going on fine between the two.
The reason for their split is not far-fetched as encomium.ng tabulates the drama:
Peter Okoye triggered the speculation that things might not be going too well between him and his twin brother, Paul when he referred to himself as Mr. P (which is the name he gave himself last year during the family’s disagreement). He also posted cryptic messages on Instagram. In one of his posts, he noted that no one’s opinion should matter about something that makes you happy.
Replying to this post, Paul Okoye said, via his own Instagram page, the birth of his twins was making someone jealous and restless. He accused the supposed person of having sleepless nights.

Paul also indirectly lashed at Peter’s wife, Lola, by saying: “Only a woman can come where there’s peace and destroy it. Try me this time, I swear Nyash go open. You will know that blood is thicker and stronger than juju.”

To further confirm the current situation, Peter sent letter to their lawyer, Festus Keyamo (SAN), calling for a termination of the agreement between PSquare.

In the letter, Peter accused Paul of not willing to co-operate with him, even going as far as cancelling their planned US tour this year without informing him. A project he (Peter) has exhausted all options to make work.

He also accused Paul of slandering his wife and children with lies on social media  and that they’ve allegedly started receiving threatening
messages.

Peter also accused his older brother, Jude, of once threatening to.kill him and shoot his wife Lola. This according to him, happened in the presence of Paul and former first lady of Cross River state, Mrs Imoke.
Jude allegedly also threatened to bring a coffin for him if he ever comes near his house.

Peter resolved that he could not cope with all the drama, and that he wants to opt out. He, however, stated that he loves his brothers and their families, and he wishes them the very best in their careers. But that he cannot betray his wife and kids as they are very important to him.
