Celebrities threaten Google with $100m over leaked nude photos

Celebrities affected by the wave of leaked nude photos have threatened to sue Google for $100m (N16bn) over their leaked nude pictures.

They have accused the web giant of failing to ‘act expeditiously’ to remove the images from the web and of ‘profiting from the victimisation of women’, as well as ‘violating their privacy’.

American lawyer, Marty Singer – who represents over a dozen female celebrities – yesterday (October 2) sent a written legal warning to Google founders, Larry Page and Sergey Brin.
