Children of prominent politicians who missed LG chairmanship in Lagos

They wanted to be chairmen of their local government councils – and going by their pedigree, one would have thought it would be an easy ride for them. But alas, they couldn’t realize their ambition despite their father’s political influence.
We are referring to sons of Alhaji Lateef Kayode Jakande, Late Raufu Jafojo, Chief Tajudeen Olusi and Oba Mufutau Hamzat, who missed the tickets of their party, All Progressives Congress to contest in the just concluded local government elections in Lagos state.
Seyi Jakande, Adeniyi Jafojo, Sola Olusi and Usman Akanbi Hamzat, all attempted to win the chairmanship tickets of APC for their various Local government or LCDA but were not successful.
Seyi Jakande and Usman Hamzat were, however, lucky. They were compensated with vice chairmanship posts of Odi-Olowo/ Ojuwoye and Ifako – Ijaiye respectively.
Sola Olusi, who vied for the chairmanship ticket of Lagos Island East LCDA and Adeniyi Jafojo who vied for Agege LG chairmanship ticket were not that lucky. They were not compensated with any post.
