DSC_0532Where were you when you heard about your father’s death?

I was in the hospital with him when he died.  We were there with him at the hospital.

Before the hospital when was the last time you saw him?

I was on my way to one of the political campaigns during the week when he called that he wanted to see me.  He was asking where are you?  Where are you?  And I asked him, “Daddy, are you okay?”  I then told him I was on my way to a political campaign.  He later asked after my cousin who was also inside the car with me.  I told him the two of us will see him on Monday (February 2, 2015).  But that Monday never came.

Did you have any premonition of his death?

I had something like that last month (January).  I have had occasions of him smiling at me in dreams.  I have never seen my dad in my dream before.  I told him later that, daddy I saw you smiling at me in a dream.  He didn’t say anything.  It is well.  Olorun a ba mi wa pelu Baba mi (God will be with my father).

What would you say you will miss about him?

My dad?  Everything.  That is the person that shielded me. I know my Father in heaven will continue to shield me.
