Chinese alcohol manufacturer arrested for adding Viagra to drinks

A Chinese alcohol manufacturer has been arrested for adding Viagra to his drinks to ‘increase alcohol sales and make money fast’, according to China News Agency (CNA).

Identified as Mr. Huang, he said he believed that only an overdose of Sildenafil would be harmful to consumers, but admitted he knew that it was against the law and may have to take a long, hard look at his business methods in future.

The spirits were sold at prices of up to 60 yuan (N1,462) per bottle, 30 of which he allegedly kept for himself.
