Churches, mosques and charity groups threatened by new bill

A bill in the House of Representatives which has passed second reading (NGO Regulation Bill) has been described as draconian by human rights lawyer, Prof. Chidi Odinkalu.

In a video, the former chairman of National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) explained that the bill is obnoxious, vexatious and totalitarian as it seeks to control how religious, nongovernmental and charity groups operate.
