Clean sweep! Sam Smith bags four awards at the 2014 MOBO awards, Ghana’s Fuse ODG wins best African act

Topping off an amazing year, 22-year-old singer, Sam Smith, bagged four awards at the 2014 MOBO (Music of Black Origin) awards, held at London’s SSE Wembley Arena last night (Wednesday, October 22). 

The awards set up in 1996 to celebrate music of black origin also had as one of its winners Ghana’a Fuse ODG, who bagged the Best African Act award –  beating Nigeria’s contingent of Davido, Tiwa Savage, Yemi Alade, Dr Sid, Wizkid as well as South Africa’s  Mafikozolo.
