Fast rising comedian, Daniel Tha Humorous (28) hosted friends to a low key, but superlative traditional wedding on Saturday, April 26, 2014, at the Surulere (Lagos) house of his pretty bride, Millicent Maduagwu’s parents.
Those present included comedians and broadcasters such as Yaw, Elenu, Shakara, Ogus Baba, Ushbebe, Princess, Buchi, Emeka Smith, Mc Abbey and Pencil. Others are On Air Personalities (OAP) from Cool FM, Wazobia FM and NigeriaInfo from the Lagos and Port Harcourt offices, as well as families and friends of the couple.

‘WHAT ATTRACTED ME TO MY WIFE’ – Daniel
How does it feel getting married today?
It feels so good. Indeed, a fulfilling day, a dream come true.
Can you tell us when and how you proposed to your wife?
I proposed to her on Christmas Day (December 25) last year. She was at work and I planned with a friend of hers to sneak into her apartment, had the place decorated with rose petals, scented candles, champagne and a violinist on standby to play her favourite song. When she came in, the violin went on. I got on one knee, asked the big question, “Will You Marry Me”. She said, yes. I popped the champagne and we’re here now.
What was the attraction back then?
The attraction is still here and forever will be. Her beauty and graciousness personified, her aura of perfection, her wit, intellect, morality, suitability for my abilities, among others.
What will change about you now you have tied the knot the traditional way?
I can’t really say what will change because we’re just ourselves and love ourselves like that. But I can say that it can only get better and we will never have a better yesterday.
When is the white wedding?
We will have the white in two months time (June, 2014)
What has sustained your love for your wife?
My love for her, life and God.
What is your prayer for this marriage?
My prayer for us is that we shall see best of days, best of times, together forever and be a blessing to ourselves, our families, society, our generation and generations to come.
Tell us more about yourselves?
I am a comedian/entertainment entrepreneur. She’s a lawyer/broadcaster. We are both simple minded people who love God and love ourselves.

How does it feel today, your traditional wedding day?
I feel happy, blessed and fulfilled.
Can you tell us why you accepted his proposal?
Are you kidding? Who wouldn’t! He is romantic and that is number 1 in any girl’s list if you ask me. But, more to the question, I wasn’t waiting for anyone else he was the one, is the one I’ve been waiting for.
What was the attraction back then?
Other than his line of business, he is charming, intelligent and he complemented most of the things I did, and still do. Who better than your partner to understand and move “your ministry” forward.
Was it because he’s comedian?
Hmmm… Takes a great deal to make me laugh. But interestingly there is more to him than comedy. That part of him stole my breath away and you can imagine how much I’m drowning with the comic part capping things… bliss!
What will change about you now you have tied the knot the traditional way?
My status, my credit cards… maybe my sense of humour (smiles).
What is your prayer for this marriage?
God’s infinite blessings and strength and love to surpass the hurdles that life throws our way.
Tell us more about yourselves?
We both love God, we are unique. He is the dot on my I and the cross on my T. We have similar thirst for being better than we are, wanting the best in our society and being role models for emulation.
