Talented comedian, Emeka Smith is basking in the euphoria of fatherhood. His wife, Prisca gave birth to a baby girl on Monday, September 16, 2013, at National Hospital, Dublin, Ireland. Mother and child are hale and hearty. The couple tied the knots on Saturday, January 19, 2013.

ENCOMIUM Weekly had a chat with the excited comedian on Wednesday, September 18, 2013, about the joys of fatherhood…

 

Emeka Smith2So, how do you feel about the arrival of your first child?

It’s a good, good feeling, newest popsy in town. I feel very great having my own child, the feeling is super.

Who broke the news to you?

My wife, of course.

Where did she put to bed?

National Hospital, Dublin, Ireland.

So, how would you describe the period your wife was pregnant?

It was a wonderful experience. She changed totally. She used to get angry easily. I was cooking and doing most domestic chores. I also became a woman during that period, but it was a great experience, I loved it.

Now that you are a dad what would change about you?

So many things will change about me – the way I talk, the way I carry myself, the way I spend money, because I have more responsibility now.

So, what are the names you are giving her?

It will be disclosed on the naming ceremony.

How many kids should we expect after this?

You guys should expect at least three more.

When are you travelling to see your baby and mother?

Tonight.

So, where and when would the naming ceremony take place?

Next week Monday in Dublin, Ireland.

By God’s grace, December, they would be back.

Why the choice of Dublin?

It’s a quiet and very nice place to stay and bring up kids.

So, you intend bringing them up there?

Yes, they will be visiting Nigeria more often.
