Conspiracy theories as missing Bayelsa student is found dead

Nigerians are aggravated over the fact that Ifemi Igali, who is a serving corps member, was found dead and foaming in his mouth three days after he went missing in Bayelsa state.

It was reportedly said that the 22year-old had set out to collect his result from his school in delta state on Thursday, May 19 from Yenegoa but was never seen again.

The Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Muyiwa Adejobi, said, “An Automated Teller Machine card and a mobile phone were found on the deceased. No mark in his body, but he foamed in the mouth. Investigation is ongoing to unravel the cause of the death.”

Nigerians are aggravated by this situation and are airing their views on the episode…

NNOMSON: The murderers will not go unpunished. Even if they escape from the Police watch dogs, they cannot escape from the Angels of God Almighty. God will expose them.

DUBEM: I suspect Ifiemi met his assailant on Facebook probably a lady. Was he planning to stay over for the weekend since he said he was going to school for result? I will implore the police to check his call log with his service provider for at least two weeks before the incident. Kidnappers have nothing to do with his Facebook timeline. But in this case, the person that has been communicating with him is behind his death. Police should confirm the assailant from call log with his network provider.

TONY: What a loss, so sad. May God grant the grieving family the fortitude to bear the loss and guide the police to unravel the mystery behind his death. Amen.

HENRY: there is also a possibility that he was abducted by ritualists. You must understand that a large percentage of undergraduates, fresh graduates and young people prefer to take road-side transport instead of going to the Park. This is because it’s often cheaper, but unfortunately, this kidnappers and ritualists use the medium often to get their prey. This may also explain why his name was not in any of the Park’s manifest that was checked. My advice on this is for people to use the Parks more where drivers are traceable. Finally may God protect us from the plans of the devil. May the soul of Ifiemi rest in peace amen!
