The Freedom of Information (FoI) has released a new data detailing the spate of crime in London schools which cuts across colleges and universities.
Officers’ response to incidents in schools rose by 209 totalling 8,705 as against the 8,496 in the previous year.
The nationwide figure which cuts across Wales, England and Northern Ireland, was up from 28,444 the previous year to 30,294 in 2014.
Superintendent Laurence Taylor of Sussex Police said it is pertinent for police forces to have a presence in schools to combat crime incidents and also to break down the barriers between children and police.
