How did you come about the name Ketchup?

I used to be a hype man in a club where I worked and the costumers gave me the name, Ketchup because whenever I pick up the mic to do my job as a Master of Ceremonies, they loved the positive vibe and how the whole place just transformed into a fun turf. In their words, I spice up the place

My everyday life, the need to preach positive vibe, love and most times its simply things that happen around me and stories I hear.

What are the challenges you had to overcome to get to where you are?

Having to understand the fact that being an artiste goes beyond just music.  Also getting to understand the kind of sound Nigerians want to hear and finding my feet as an artiste.

How did music start for you?

Music started from dancing and miming other people’s songs from secondary school to university days.

What was 2015 like for you?

It was a new beginning for me. In 2015, I put in more of myself to make more music. My team and I had a plan and I would like to say it’s all paying off.  2015, I went against the odds, I finally made people realize that Ketchup is here to stay.

What was growing up for you?

Growing up was fun. My dad was strict and my mom was just super sweet. I’m the first child, so I was like the captain of the ship for my siblings. We didn’t have it all but we always found a way to stay happy. Every celebration was special and as a family, we had each other’s back. I used to think I would become a priest, but music chose me and here I am.

What makes Ketchup unique?

Realness and the level of positive energy and vibe I produce when I step into a room or when I perform my songs. I tell people all the time when it comes to Ketchup music all you have to do is listen asides the beat.

What would you say is the secret of your success so far?

I am optimistic. Also my team, hard work and prayers. I never give up on a dream. I either go hard and get it right. Some days when things go wrong I learn from it.

My album and more good music for my fans and Ketchup clan worldwide.

Where do you see yourself in five years?

Top of the charts and grooming one or two young talents to find their path and achieve their dreams just as my team did for me.

Pampam was a success how do you feel?

Like it’s just the beginning. There is so much more where that came from.

The music industry is very competitive, do you think you will be able to stand the test of time?

In 2013, people thought I was a one hit wonder but I’m still here today with God and grace. Sure time is man-made I pray my people will live to tell the Ketchup story in the nearest future. Yes, Ketchup will be here for a long time making ever green music.

How do you handle your female fans?

They show me love and I show them love right back.

 Are you in a relationship?

Not at the moment but I would love to find someone to build a good level of magic with.
