Dangote moves three steps up Forbes rich list…settles on 35th spot with $21.6 billion

Africa’s richest man, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, 57, is on his way up again on Forbes richest list.

The mogul moved up three steps, from number 38 to 35, with his net-worth jumping from $19.5 billion (N3.315 trillion) to $21.6 billion (N3.672 trillion) in one day… a gain of N357 billion!

The Kano-born gentleman of means who began last week hopping from number 43 to 25 with $25 billion (N4.250 trillion), slipped to $21.3 billion (N£.655 trillion), $20 billion (N3.400 trillion) and $19.5 billion (N3.315 trillion) by the weekend. By Sunday, November 9, he had dropped from 23 to 37 and finally 38, all in one week.

But now, the handsome and humble risk-taker is at the number 35 spot.

The losses of Alhaji Dangote can be tied to the stock market which has been tumbling down in the last few days. The share price of Dangote Cement, his cash cow, shed almost N20 per share.
