Dangote redeems goal-for-dollar pledge to Eagles like Otedola

Africa’s richest man Alhaji Aliko Dangote redeemed his $50,000 per goal pledge (on Wednesday, July 31, 2019) to the Super Eagles following their qualification for the semi-finals of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.
The money exchanged hands at Dangote Group headquarters.
Olakunle Alake, the group’s Managing Director, presented the cash to representatives of the Super Eagles (John Ogu, Chidi Ngoka and Dayo Achor Enebi.
Like Otedola who pledged $25,000 which he redeemed on Tuesday, July 30, 2019, Dangote fulfilled his $50,000 promise the following day.
The largesse is meant to be shared by the team and not the ‘scorer’.
