The king of cement, sugar, salt, flour and more is smiling as he makes remarkable leaps in his conglomerate.
Once ranked at number 23 with $25 billion fortune, the insecurity fueled by the 2015 general elections, plummeting stocks, falling Naira against international currencies and lack of investor confidence affected the economy, and affected his income.
But things are beginning to look up. The $11.9 billion  net worth of a few weeks back jumped to $12.5 billion by Wednesday, May 31. And today, at 2:55 pm, it stood at $13.4 billion.
For the chairman of Globacom and Conoil, 64 year old Dr. Michael Adenuga, Jnr, he’s at number 267 on the Forbes list with $6 billion. He lost $100 million in two days.
For the time in a long while, 66 year old Mrs. Folorunsho Alakija of FAMFA Oil gained $100 million. Her fortune climbed to  $1.8 billion, and she’s at number 1,282.
