Former BBC Radio DJ, Dave Lee Travis, was today (September 26) given a suspended sentence of three months after he indecently assaulted a woman in 1995.
The 69-year-old former Top of the Pops host had earlier (on Tuesday, September 23) been found guilty of attacking a researcher, of his sentencing, he said he was “mortified” and “really disappointed” and criticized his prosecution, saying those close to him “know the truth”.
Travis became a household name in the 1970s, he had appeared before Southwark Crown Court.
