Davido, Olamide and Patoranking lead as Headies 2014 biggest winners

The 9th edition of The Headies, one of music’s most authentic celebrations of stars in Nigeria (staged by Smooth Promotions on Sunday, December 14, 2014, at Eko Hotel & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos), saw Davido , Olamide  and Patoranking emerging the biggest winners with two awards apiece.

Davido won  Artiste of the Year and Song of the Year trophies, Olamide took home Album of the Year and Best Rap Album (Baddest Guy Ever Liveth) and Patoranking clutched Best Raggae Dancehall and Next Rated diadems.

Hip hop world revelation: Kcee

Recording of The year: Cobhams Asuquo (Ordinary People)

Best alternative song: Bolaji (BOJ)

Producer of the year: Don Jazzy

Lyricist on the roll: Jesse Jagz

Next Rated: Patoranking

Best African Artiste of the year: Sarkodie
