Deji Tinubu’s funeral holds on Tuesday, January 30

The remains of Deji Tinubu, the 53-year old special adviser to Governor of Lagos, Mr Akinwunmi Ambode, on commerce, industry and cooperatives, will be buried on Tuesday, January 30, 2018.

The father of two children slumped and died at the football pitch of Jubilee Chalets in Epe (Lagos) while playing a 7-a-side novelty match on the side of cabinet members against permanent secretaries on Thursday, January 25.
He reportedly screamed, ‘Ha’ before slumping around 7:30 pm in the second half of the match led by the permanent secretaries 1-0.
His funeral rites begin with a service of songs on Monday, January 29, 2018, at 5 pm at Redeemed Christian Church of God, City of David parish on Victoria Island (Lagos).
Lying-in-state is also at the City of David parish on Tuesday, January 30, at 9:30 am.
Funeral service at City of David parish kicks off at 10 am on Tuesday,  January 30.
He will be buried in Vaults & Gardens, Ikoyi, after the service.
The elder brother of Oando Plc’s Wale Tinubu was survived by his aged mother, Alhaja Binta Fatima Tinubu, his wife Yemisi and two children.
Described by all as a good man, Deji Tinubu died at the retreat for appointees of Lagos state, from cabinet members to permanent secretaries.
