Did you know that over 2000 students joined Dettol to mark the Global Handwashing Day?

Today, we are throwing back to October 15, 2018, when over 2,000 school children participated in the symbolic Global Handwashing Day.

L.E.A Model Primary School, Maitama, Abuja, witnessed a buzzing atmosphere as the school compound hosted well over 2000 students from 7 public and private schools which have benefited from the Dettol’s School Hygiene Programme across 4 Local Governments in the FCT, Abuja.

During the marking of the Global Handwashing Day, Dettol also donated 12 hand washing stations to help facilitate and maintain the habit of proper handwashing by the school children.

Children were taught simple steps of handwashing and the fact that they must wash their hands with soap as often as possible in a day.

For several years, Dettol has been running health and hygiene programmes across Nigeria focusing on about 1 million new mothers every year who are educated on good hygiene practices through the outreaches in public hospitals and clinics.
