Foremost gospel DJ, Prince Afojeare Ikhialose Igbauma, popularly known as DJ Gosporella is set to start a radio station known as Gosporella FM which will kick off as soon as it is launched on Tuesday, April 8, 2014. Information pieced together by ENCOMIUM Weekly revealed that the launch of the station will coincide with his birthday coming on April 8, 2014.

Gosporelle FM is a gospel music, life style and entertainment station. It will run for 24 hours a day with programmes, news, concept to keep listeners grooving.

Test transmission will begin on Tuesday, April 8, 2014, and proper broadcast will commence on Wednesday, July 1, 2014, when Gosporella International is marking its 11th anniversary.

Speaking about this development when ENCOMIUM Weekly contacted him on Thursday, March 27, 2014, he said, “Yes, it is true, we are setting up a radio station. We are starting on line for now and by God’s grace, it will go beyond that.

“It is another tool in our revolution of gospel music and entertainment. Our mission is to emphasize that Christianity is a lifestyle and not a Sunday, Sunday dose.

“Gosporella FM is home to lovers of clean, unadulterated and wholesome music, entertainment and information. I believe it’s going to be a brand new flavor in listeners’ ears. It is also a revolution in online radio casting.”

All hands are on deck to ensure transmission kicks off on the set date.

Born Prince Afojeare Ikhialose Igbaumu, he started out as DJ Alfred Campell before he rebranded to DJ Gosporella. He celebrated his 10th anniversary as a gospel DJ a couple of weeks back.
