A lot of people get worried when they find it difficult to use the toilet daily.  Some start to worry if they don’t go after two days.

ENCOMIUM Weekly spoke with some medical doctors about the dangers of not going to the toilet, the ideal number of times to visit the toilet, etc.

How many times is ideal to go to the toilet?

It depends on the person’s bowel movement.  Some people have specific bowel pattern, some go to the toilet twice a day, some, once.  It is ideal to go to the toilet once a day.

What are the dangers of going to the toilet too often?

The only time that there is danger is when there is a change in bowel movement.  For instance, if you go to the toilet once a day and start going two or three times a day, it means there is a problem.

If the waste becomes too watery or becomes too hard to pass out, there is a problem.

If the person has continuous watery stool, there is a problem.

What are the dangers of not going?

Constipation.  It could be as a result of obstruction of the bowel.  It could be because the person does not drink enough water.  If the person has pile, it could cause complication.  Such a person will even be afraid to go to the toilet.

What is responsible if someone finds it difficult to go to the toilet?

The major thing is a change in the bowel.  If such a person is worried, it is advisable to see a doctor

Ideally, once or twice a day is okay.  If it is above that, it becomes abnormal.

What are the dangers of going to the toilet too often?

If you go abnormally, it means there is an infection.  It could also mean the person has stomach upset.  It can become dangerous if the person is dehydrated. Dehydration is common in children, it can also happen to an adult but more in children.

What are the dangers of not going?

Constipation.  The system will not be settled.

What is responsible if someone finds it difficult to go to the toilet?

Maybe there is an infection or the person has constipation.

Some people believe you must go to the toilet daily, is it true?

It depends on the system of that individual.  Some people go to the toilet daily, some two times, every morning.  It is all about the resistance the person has.

There is no specific number of times one should go to the toilet.  We all have different body system.  Usually, I will say like two times a day.  If that pattern changes, it can be worrisome.

What are the dangers of going to the toilet too often?

Going too often shows there is problem in the system.  It could mean the person has diarrhea or some other complications.

What are the dangers of not going?

There will be constipation.  It means, there is an obstruction in the bowel movement.

What is responsible if someone finds it difficult to go to the toilet?

There might be fresh disease.  If the filter that controls the tube where the faeces will pass refuse to open, it means, there is a disease in there.

If the person does not drink enough water, it will be difficult to use the toilet.

Some people believe you must go to the toilet daily, is it true?

It is not a must.  We should all understand our body system. Some go daily, while for others, it is once in two days.  Once you have movement in your bowel, you will have the urge to go to the toilet.
