Dr. Allwell Orji’s corpse found in Onikan

The corpse of Dr. Allwell Orji, the 35 year old victim of suicide on Lagos lagoon on Sunday, March 19, 2017, has been retrieved today (Tuesday, March 21).

Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni, confirmed to Channels Television that Marine Police recovered the body at Onikan end of Lagos lagoon.
Dr. Allwell Orji, who worked with Mount Sinai Hospital in Mushin area of Lagos, jumped into the lagoon in the Adeniji Adele area of Third Mainland Bridge.
He told his driver, Henry Ita, to stop after he received a call. He claimed he wanted to urinate around 4:45 pm.
He jumped into the lagoon to the consternation of motorists.
