Dr. Daniel Olukoya is gradually turning the N10 billion Prayer City along Lagos/Ibadan express road into a paradise as he builds a housing estate worth N1 billion. Information available to ENCOMIUM Weekly revealed that the firebrand preacher began the scheme months back on a large expanse of land inside the multi-billion naira Prayer City.
We gathered that the estate has different shades of apartments depending on the taste of the buyers. According to our source, some of the projects are in progress while others are yet to be built.
We reliably gathered that each worshipper who has vested interested will notify the church with specification before construction begins. According to our source, a lot of worshippers who felt it’s a secure place to invest their money without fear of losing their property have bought into the scheme. Funds for the scheme, we learnt were sourced from the ministry and interested worshippers.
Although the name of the estate has not been made public, we learnt it will bear scriptural name that will tally with the Prayer City.
ENCOMIUM Weekly’s check on Sunday, June 15, 2014, revealed that some of the construction work have reached window level. Construction is being handled by the ministry’s construction company.
We contacted one of the spokesman for the ministry who confirmed the scheme and said the name has not been disclosed yet.
