A drug addict couple have been arrested and are facing jail after they fed their four-month-old baby with Crystal Meth to stop him crying.
The tot was declared “clinically dead” by doctors when his parents – 26-year-old Silvia Strnadova and husband, Miroslav (30) – rushed him to hospital in the north-western region of Horna Nitrawere in Slovakia.
Head doctor at the hospital, Anna Moracikova said: “The child’s brain is severely damaged and he is clinically dead.” Adding: “His chances of survival are minimal and he is being kept alive by a life support machine.”
Crystal Meth – short for Crystalline Methamphetamine – is an illegal drug in the same class as cocaine and other powerful street drugs that people take by snorting it (inhaling through the nose), smoking it or injecting it with a needle.
