EASY LIZZY SURVIVES AUTO CRASH

‘I never knew I will be alive now’

The dream of fuji hip hop star, Taiwo Elizabeth Olapeju, otherwise known as Easy Lizzy, would have been cut short on Sunday, September 8, 2013, in a terrible auto accident along Lagos-Ibadan expressway.

The incident which happened around 8pm, ENCOMIUM Weekly learnt, has since left the talented entertainer devastated. An industry source informed us that the Awe, Oyo born musician’s Daewoo car was hit by a fast moving vehicle while trying to link the express road from Magodo, Lagos gate, where she went to drop her friend with whom she attended a party that fateful day.

The source further disclosed to us that Lizzy went into coma instantly, and was rushed to a nearby hospital in Magodo, Lagos, where she later regained her consciousness.

“Eazy Lizzy has every reason to be grateful to God at the moment, otherwise it would have been a different story entirely. I learnt she had an accident on Sunday, September 8, 2013, on Lagos-Ibadan expressway, opposite Magodo, Lagos gate. She was rescued by good Samaritans. I learnt she was hospitalized in one private hospital in Magodo, Lagos, for about four days before she was discharged. She sustained some injuries and her car was badly damaged.

“But her Personal Assistant, Jane, who was also with her in the car was lucky enough to have escaped with slight injuries. Easy Lizzy is now at home recuperating”.

Contacted on Friday, September 13, 2013, the pretty mother of one child, Easy expressed gratitude to God for sparing her life. She added that her survival was miraculous.

“It’s true but I am getting much better now. I only sustained slight injuries. I have been discharged from hospital. I think I should be very grateful to God because I never knew I will be alive after the incident. I first fainted, I later came back to life. I thank God that nobody died in the incident”.

Asked to narrate how it really happened, she said, “I couldn’t recall the whole situation. I only know I was trying to come out of Magodo gate where I had dropped my friend. Immediately I linked the expressed road, a car coming on a high speed just hit mine by the driver’s side. I only heard the sound gba o. That was all.

“When I woke up some hours later, I saw myself on the hospital bed. Sincerely, I count myself lucky. Also, I am using this opportunity to say a big thank you to those that came to my rescue, and equally my brother, who quickly raised the alarm by sending text and Blackberry messages to everybody. If not, may be the story wouldn’t have been the same again. I drove my Daewoo Laganza which is now badly damaged. But the most important thing is that I am still alive. Very soon, I will recover fully by the special grace of God”.
