Ebola: American victim given experimental anti-viral drug 

American Ebola patient – Thomas Eric Duncan – who is battling for his life, is receiving doses of an experimental anti-viral drug in a Texas hospital.

Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital announced yesterday (October 6) that doctors had begun administering brincidofovir, which has shown promise in fighting the disease.

Duncan’s doctors got permission from the federal government to use the drug after his condition grew worse.
