Experts have warned of the possibility of the Ebola virus becoming airborne – that is it could spread through the air.
Currently, the virus is only transmitted through direct contact with bodily fluids such as blood, sweat, vomit, feces, urine, saliva or semen of an infected person who is showing symptoms.
Researchers have, however, claimed that the chance of the virus mutating and spread through the air should not be ruled out.
