Ebola: Liberia should brace for ‘thousands’ more cases – WHO warns

The World Health Organization (WHO) has warned that “many thousands of new cases are expected in Liberia over the coming three weeks”.

Ebola-ravaged Liberia already accounts for up to half of all cases and deaths from the virus, but the WHO has warned “the number of new cases is increasing exponentially”.

The death toll from the deadliest Ebola epidemic the world has ever seen, spreading across west Africa – with Liberia, Guinea, Sierra Leone the worst hit – has topped 2,000.
