The British nurse who contracted the Ebola virus in December but was discharged after she got well in January, 2015, Pauline Cafferkey is said to still be in critical condition at Royal Free London (United Kingdaom) after she was transferred in a military plane there on Friday, October 9, 2015 from the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Glasgow (Scotland).
It is said that she is treated in isolation in the hospital’s high-level isolation unit under nationally agreed guidelines.
In the last few months, she carried out vaccinations on a number of children and parents of the kids are testifying to her competence as a great nurse.
More than 11,000 people have died from the Ebola virus in the three West African countries of Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea, according to the World Health Organisation, and with so many survivors there is the risk of further outbreak, so authorities have to be vigilant.
