Ebola: UK hospitals on standby over possible virus outbreak

Major hospitals in United Kingdom (UK) are on stand by to deal with a “surge” in cases of the deadly Ebola virus if it spreads to Britain.

Four hospitals already have infectious disease units as experts say the UK is the third most likely country outside Africa to report an Ebola case.

Details of the plan emerged as doctors in Spain continued to treat a nurse who became the first person outside Africa to contract the virus.
