Ebola: US hospitals fitted with disease-killing robots

Hospitals in the United States of America (USA) have taking precautionary measures to combat the Ebola threat – by using an Ebola-killing robot.

The machine – costing $115,000 (N18.4m) – has been fitted in 250 hospitals – including the Dallas hospital where the US’s first Ebola victim died yesterday (October 8).

Using ultraviolet (UV) light, the robot can disinfect a room in 5-10 minutes – destroying bacteria, viruses, bacteria spores and other bugs.
