– As she drags case to Supreme Court

It is going from bad to worse for under fire Nollywood beauty, Ibinabo Fiberesima in her battle to avoid jail following her conviction for manslaughter as she spends her first week in Kirikiri prisons.

The Court of Appeal Lagos had on Friday, March 11 upheld a Lagos High Court ruling which slammed a five-year jail term against her for knocking down and killing a Lagos State Hospital staff, Dr. Giwa Suraj on the Lekki-Epe expressway.

The mother of four has spent her seventh day  in Kirikiri women prison where she was taken to after the Appeal Court ruling, pending the outcome of the bail application filed by her counsel, Nnaemeka Amaechina, on her behalf.

Meanwhile, Amaechina has exclusively revealed to encomium.ng that they are hopeful that Supreme Court will grant their plea and overturn the verdict as they take the case to the apex court, where the matter has been adjourned to April 7 for hearing.
