Entertainers who got brand endorsements in 2016

2016 was a rewarding year for our entertainers in Nigeria. Some of them inked juicy deals that saw them smiling to the bank. ENCOMIUM Weekly presents those who got endorsements in 2016.

 

FEMI ADEBAYO

Special adviser to Kwara State Governor, start actor, Femi Adebayo was unveiled as the brand face of a leading property company, Kayode Obembe & Co last year.

The endorsement came on the heels of his appointment as the Special Adviser to Kwara State governor. The elated actor took to the social media to make the announcement before he was officially introduced by the company. The deal was signed and sealed in April last year. Adebayo got a landed property for the one year he would be the face of the brand.

 

OMOTOLA JALADE-EKEINDE

Omosexy also joined the league of entertainer with multiple endorsements when she was unveiled as the brand ambassador for Nigeria Liquefied Petroleum Gas Association (NLPGA). The unveiling held in December. Thereafter, the pretty actress took up her role as an advocate of NLGPA by enlightening millions of Nigerian women of the health hazards of using firewood and kerosene to prepare meals. The money the delectable actress pocketed was not disclosed but sources whispered that millions of naira changed hands before she was unveiled.

 

FALZ

2016, sure was a year of digging gold for Folarin Falana, popularly known as Falz the Bahdguy. He made his way up and was on top the payroll of multinational companies. He was made a Blackberry Messenger ambassador in December last year.

He also joined the league of entertainers on Merrybet Gold Limited, owners of a sport betting brand in October. The endorsement he bagged in 2015 with giant telecommunication company, MTN, cannot be easily forgotten.

 

FLAVOUR

Sexy ‘Ada Ada’ crooner, Flavour Nabania clinched more than two endorsement deals in 2016. He became an ambassador to Bullet energy drink in May 2016. Also Nigerian Breweries Plc crowned him their brand ambassador in June, the same year. We gathered the Nigerians Breweries Plc, deal would run for two years. Pictures of when pen was put to paper flooded the internet mid last year. We couldn’t confirm how much it was worth but sources hinted that the two deals made the talented artist smile to the bank. Flavour also signed the dotted line as the brand ambassador of a weight loss company. He was unveiled as an ambassador of a flat tummy tea in August 2016. No doubt Flavour sexiness and swag fetched him popularity and favour amongst multinationals in 2016.

 

PETER OKOYE

Peter Okoye, one half of award winning pop duo, P Square smiled to the bank while pursuing a solo career last year. He signed up to three ambassadorial deals without his twin brother, Paul.

He was made on ambassador to KIA Motors in June 2016. His Olympic Milk deal was also renewed in 2016 and Merry Bet ambassadorship in the same year.

 

TU FACE

Legandry artist, Tuface was made an ambassador of Liquor brand Campari. According to the management of the company, Tuface was chosen because of his personality as a hardworking artist who is humble. Tuface will be the first African brand ambassador for the liquor company.

 

ANNIE IDIBIA

Tuface’s better half, Annie Idibia joined Ini Edo as the brand representative of a weight loss company, Slim Tea Nigeria. The good news came in April after she put pen on paper.

 

INI EDO

Apart from being unveiled as the Special Adviser on Tourism and Development to Akwa Ibom State in February 2016, the pretty actress also bagged a deal with a weight loss company, Slim Tea Nigeria. The talented actress led the campaign tagged ‘Be like Ini Edo.’ The 28 day detox product was widely embraced by Nigerians while Ini graced the face of the campaign.
