It’s the responsibility of every employer at all levels to pay his employees as at when due.
The downturn of the economy is not supposed to bring about violation of the contractual agreement and other financial commitment as it were. Today, we present to you how entrepreneurs cope with high overhead at these difficult times…
AMANDA AKHIMIEN, Ever After
No, I don’t find it difficult when you manage your business well and do proper accounting. I believe that settling overhead cost wouldn’t be an issue.
I do my checks and balances and always look for new things the market wants and needs that helps in maximizing profit.
DEMOLA ADUNOLA, Dansaky
Overhead list is always settled whether or not the market situation is favourable. My belief is that every business sustained during crisis is such that can stand the test of time, and it will surely live longer. But during a difficult time, we always adjust to ensure that the profitability of the business is not down.

No. I don’t find it challenging at all, because I don’t bite more than I can chew. At the end, everything goes as planned.
It’s all about being careful and setting goals and objectives. When you know what comes in monthly or quarterly, then you tailor that into expenses and all that. Business profitability is the main thing.

Not really, though the economy is not in the best of shapes. We are coping fine. At least we do not owe anybody. We also pay staff salary in time. Profit-wise, we are not doing badly.
MINA HORSFALL , Mish Concepts Limited
It has not been easy but I have a good team that do their job very well. Business must go on. And we thank God since we still operate profitably.
BUNMI OYEKUNLE, Hephzibah Boutique
Yes, I find it difficult to settle my overhead cost. What I do is that I engage in multiple streams of income to fund the business. By being flexible, innovative and hard working, I have been able to maintain it.
FEMI ADENIYI, Israel Group of Schools
Sincerely it’s been pretty difficult. What I do is that I discussed with my staffers on the situation of things. I commend them and try to make things bearable for them by bending some rules under normal circumstances. Then I motivate them to do more of profitable venture than spending long hours on things that does not profit us.
