2014 came speedily like every other year. It has been tough, but, as Christians who live by faith, and not by sight, we have to hope for the best. Honestly, I think the early months of the year were a bit challenging, maybe because it is an election year in this part of world where election years start slowly with tight budgets and funds not being released. The common believe that our politicians hold back the money for their election purposes . However, the emergence of August was a basic turn around for good for me. With several jobs, new opportunities, business and contract deals signed all in one month. Maybe it’s due to my beauty business that most of the time peaks towards the end of the year.

Expectations have always been higher and gets higher, especially when a lot has not been actualized. And also for the remaining part of the year, it is definitely a quarter of extremely high expectations. I am expectant.

To some extent, we’ve done very well despite the hash economic environment. But in respect of our target, I wouldn’t say we are there yet. I expect to do better so as to end the year well.

Our goals for 2014 and for the business is to take it to an admirable stage which basically is the next level for me as the sole principal of the business for years now. In 2014, we previewed and developed a business plan to source for more funds and increase productivity by going into importation of major house finishing materials. We also have been able to secure a great contract to work with some major corporate financial institutions in Nigeria, which means a better chance of proving our professionalism and expertise on a broader platform.

In 2014, FGSL also reviewed it’s marketing strategies, through aggressive marketing geared towards making us a household name to builders, architects and engineers. Our telemarketing, fliers and internet has also helped our effort a great deal.

However, for the last quarter of 2014, we hope to pick up speed and excel in our area of importation, working with more corporate organizations and increasing our web, social and physical presence in the building industry.

So far, so good, I thank God. In doing business, most especially being a business owner you go through some ups and downs.

Progress has been made, the thing shaking our business now is the Ebola virus and we pray God helps us in resolving this issue.

I have met almost all my targets for 2014. I thank God for the progress made so far. But basically, what I want to do before the year runs out is to expand my business frontier by incorporating a kind of door-to-door delivery of goods to my clients wherever they are and whenever they need them. Although, I know it will require employing more serious and capable hands, I strongly believe it will also advance the business.

Last year, I did not have a business proposal. I just told people with word of mouth. But this year, I have been sending my proposal to different companies, individuals, families and friends in order to help my business.

For the last quarter of the year, I expect to have a longer customer base, and also satisfy their needs and make them happy.

Progress, to me, means moving forward and so far so good, I am moving towards that direction and God has been helping me.

I expect to have more customers trooping in and out of my shop as we approach the festive season.

This year has been a success story in the sense that we have expanded and have another outfit in Lagos. My expectation this last quarter is getting more quality clients and contracts.

Not much progress has been made concerning my targets this year. Everything has been dull business wise in 2014, but we hope that things will improve now that we’re getting into the last quarter of the year.

I am so glad I have accomplished a major project God gave me to do this year, setting up Gosporella FM. It’s a breakthrough and I thank Him for giving me the resources and strength to accomplish this goal.

We intend to focus on making our radio strong and expect goodly reports from it. This also is not by power nor might but by His Spirit.
