Torrents of eulogies are flooding in as Nigerians mourn Deji Tinubu who died while playing football in Epe (Lagos) during a retreat for the state’s executive council members and permanent secretaries on Thursday, January 25, 2018.
Actually l’m really sad about Deji Tinubu’s sudden death. Memories of him teasing and helping me when l had morning sickness at the Sydney Olympics, laughing lunches as members of the Lagos FA. Unashamed to speak with love and devotion about his wife Yemisi. Doting dad.

We lost a member of the Lagos State Executive Council last night, Mr. Deji Tinubu, the Special Adviser on Commerce, Industry and Cooperatives. A fine gentleman and team player who was committed and passionate about the Lagos vision.

I remember vividly in 2013 during the FIFA U17 WC in UAE,when i did an analysis of d golden eaglets. Deji Tinubu was so impressed that he sent me a DM containing his phone no & email asking me to forward my analysis to his mailbox. I got credit for that on a national sports daily
