Ex-beauty queen, Celia Bissong ecstatic about forthcoming wedding ‘I thank God,’ she says

ABOUT-to-wed ex-beauty queen, Bissong Ohumotu Celia, is ecstatic.  The 27 year-old who read Economics at the University of Calabar and grew up in Navy Town, Lagos is also joyous and boisterous because she has not only found her dream man, soon, very soon, both of them would be walking down the aisle.

Speaking exclusively to ENCOMIUM Weekly on Thursday, February 10, 2011, the sweet and svelte Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria 2003 gushed: “I thank God and I love God.  And for every situation in life, you have to thank God.  So, I thank God.”

Asked to regale us with how they met, the ebony-skinned daughter of Tony and Anne Bissong had this to say: “I’ve known him for a couple of years, but I don’t want to be specific.”

Divulging that they met through a mutual friend, she gave the date of their wedding as ‘whenever God decides.’  Adding that: “Everything is in God’s hands.  And when God decides is when it is going to happen.”

Pleading that she wants to keep everything private for now, she promised to keep us posted as events unfold.

The last of her parents’ children (the others are Tony, Jnr., Lucy and Maryann), news swirled all over town last week that she is plotting a society wedding with Amaechi Okoye, a director at TNT/IAS, one of the top courier companies in Nigeria.  Handsome and also slim, the fair-skinned dude who is believed to be in his late 20s hails from Anambra State while Celia is from Cross River State.

A Mathematics graduate of the University of Ontario, Canada, their families are allegedly sorting out their marriage details and demands.

Celia, besides emerging as the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria on March 22, 2003, two years ago, was the co-host of Peak Talent Hunt show.  She currently oversees her own modelling agency as well as engages in this and that business to keep body and soul together.
