Experience of life inspired Capital G.O.D – AY.com

Ayoola Johnson, popularly called AY.com, established himself years back after his hit single “pass me your love” ft Terry G. The song which shows a reflective and genuine talent from the singer, making him one of the top Nigeria music acts when he released pass me your love in 2009. After a long time of no music related activity, AY.com surfaces with video of his CAPITAL G.O.D which ft 9ice and Oritshefemi.

In an interview with ENCOMIUM Weekly’s Soewu Oluwafemi, AY.com revealed why he has been away from music and admitted he has been learning. Also, he talked about his plan for fans and other sundry issues.

 

After your hit single Pass me your love, what actually took you off the music scene for years?

Distraction.

What have you been doing?

Learning.

Can you tell us how you were able to maintain your fans after Pass me your love?

I try as much to avoid them, because at a point they kept making me feel like I owe everyone explanation with questions like After pass me your love, what happened? What have you been doing? This is why I have been avoiding them.

What really transpired between you and Terry G years back?

That’s an old story.

What relationship do you have with him now?

Open relationship.

What inspired your new single Capital GOD?

Experience of life.

Talking about the reception, is it gaining attention that pleases you?

It’s gaining a lot of attention but I am not surprised.

Let’s talk about your love life. Whys AY.COM not married?

Capital GOD want the best for me.

How do you cope with female fans?

So far, I have learnt to treat them right, because they are beautiful creatures and deserve to be treated like queens.

Who’s your role model in Nigeria music industry?

Nobody for now.

Among other artistes, who would you like to do a collabo with?

King Sunny Ade.

Are you working towards an album and how soon?

Expect more singles this year, and it’s possible I release an album this same year. Just watch out.

Any word of advice for young artistes in the industry?

Believe in God and listen more to yourself.
