COUPLE APPLAUDED FOR SENSE OF SIMPLICITY
Not moved by their parents immense wealth, Chukueku and Uchenna went about their nuptials without airs.
No limos, no Rolls Royces or any exotic cars on their entourage, bride and groom left for the reception in a navy blue Lexus LS 350.
The modest bridal train also dispersed in another simple unidentified automobile.
HP SECURITY’S CIVILITY COURTS THEM MERITED FAVOUR
From screening of guests to their ushering to the Grand Ballroom of Oriental Hotel (venue of the reception), Hercules Private Securities (HP) staff were well appreciated for their professional conduct. Even those who had issues with their invites were politely shoved aside and their challenge sorted out.
HP staff inside the reception venue also went about their job quietly without offending guests.
DANDIES AND DAMES WINE AND DINE
Fun ruled supreme at the classy nuptials of Chukie and Uchenna. Dandies and dames, well attired in themed colours of the wedding (wine and gold) wined and dined without airs. Some of them tarried even after the chairman had declared the wedding officially ended.
SHARP BAND ROCKS!
Yeah, Sharp Band has emerged the hottest and most sought after band in town. There’s hardly a week they don’t get booked for event. They also regularly perform at luxury lounges in both Lagos Island and Mainland.
Sharp Band who performed at the wedding of President Jonathan’s daughter and that of Ita Giwa’s Koko also thrilled at Chukie/Cynthia Uchenna’s wedding. And showing dexterity in all genres of music, Sharp Band won more fans at the extravagant nuptials many can’t stop talking about.
Incidentally, all other musicians got professional assistance from them.
SO MUCH TO EAT AND DRINK
Trust the Ezennas, being good hosts with requisite experience, they made sure one of their guests irrespective of one’s status lacked food and drink. Suffix to say there were so much to pick from the foods catered by O & F Kitchen. The menu featured continental and traditional Nigerian dishes.
For drinks, there were alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails. The main drinks consisted of beverages, spirits, wine and champagne.
THE VOTE OF THANKS
Chukie’s vote of thanks really touched his in-laws. How did we know? We were close to Sir and Lady Ezenna who were nodding in agreement with his appreciation of their support.
P-SQUARE’S ELECTRIFYING PERFORMANCE
Like ENCOMIUM Weekly exclusively reported before the celebrity wedding, pop stars P-Square headlined the event. And treating ecstatic guests to almost all their favourite songs, they amplified the fun and jollification at the classy nuptials.
COUPLE DANCED HEARTS OUT
We also observed that Chukie and Uchenna are fun-loving young people. You needed to see how the couple danced their hearts out.
HOW MOM AND DAUGHTER PARTED WAYS
Emotions gave way when the bride’s mom, Lady Ezenna exited the event, hugging her first daughter. Mom and daughter had to part ways for the latter to begin a fresh life with her husband.
DJ BIG N ON THE WHEEL OF STEEL
Djay Big N was on the wheel of steel, reeling out endless beats that kept the young and restless busy till almost 11 p.m on Chukie/Uchenna’s wedding day.
And doing this effortlessly, not a few were impressed with his performance.
HOW P-SQUARE LEFT ORIENTAL HOTEL
For security reasons, P-Square didn’t leave the Grand Ballroom immediately they were done with their performance. We caught up with Peter who was escorted by armed mobile policeman. We saw P-Square cross over to the other side of Ozumba Mbadiwe Road, Victoria Island, Lagos. And when his escort returned, he told his colleagues stationed at the entrance of Oriental Hotel, he was settled by the rich singer.
HOW MUCH THE WEDDING COST
We are still counting what it might have cost the Ezennas and Gbonemes to stage this 5-star nuptials. But those privileged to know what and what went into the events revealed it’s over N100 million!
