Fake Sheikh Mahzer Mohmood to be investigated over Tulisa testimony

Undercover reporter, Mahzer Mahmood, is to be investigated by the police after a judge said yesterday that there are  “strong grounds” to believe that he had lied on the witness stand at the trial of former X Factor judge, Tulisa Contostavlos.
The investigation comes after the collapse of the trial of Ms. Contostavlos. After the trial collapsed, the 26-year-old singer, who denied brokering a drugs deal, condemned the “horrific and disgusting entrapment by Mahzer Mahmood and the Sun on Sunday.”
Scotland Yard said today (July 22) it had sent details of the trial to the Director of Public Prosecutions and talks were on going with prosecutors on the “next steps”. The Sun on Sunday has, however, suspended Mr Mahmood.
