Fanz Championship Africa ‘Better Me’ series hots up for Season 2

FANZ Championship Africa(Season 2), Better Me series –is a unique and interactive TV game show for adventurous, dynamic and fun loving football fans. The Season 2 of this exciting football game show created by Abiodun Oshinibosi of Abelinis Ltd., has just been premiered at the Silverbird Cinemas, Ikeja City Mall, Lagos.

Lovers of football leagues and tournaments; all socially aware and exposed males and females, millions of active youths globally and brand loyalists are all super pumped about the Fanz Championship Africa, the much talked about football show that has raised the bar in television content and followership since its debut. Yes, the ‘Better Me’ series is powered majorly by one of the top telecommunication giants in Nigeria, MTN.

Millions of addicted fans hooked from the first season and potential fans would be treated to a fresher new season of the Fanz Championship Africa (Season 2), Better Me series which would be televised on top Nigerian television stations namely Silverbird Network and TVC every Saturday between 8:30 to 9:00 pm, Galaxy and HIPTV on Sunday by 8:30 to 9:00.

The term ‘Better Me’ series was coined out of the need to please our football fans and qualified participants better in this ever evolving technological age. Therefore, in the Nigerian terms, we gave it more ginger while maintaining the football game competition’s unique normal process with a better difference.

Information has it that during the game show, a series of entertaining questions would be asked by the officiating referee –Ushbebe, an ace comedian. The game questions would be generated from various football leagues, football administrations, lifestyles and careers of footballers. The right answer to these questions would be placed with different options from the available answers; the questions would be simple but tactfully tricky provoking entertaining reactions from the audience.

16 teams of families, friends and colleagues are stirred up to win the star prize of 10,000 USD. The teams are; Amuwo-Odofin, Stallion, Olumo United, Titans, Calliphate Lions, Elxo Bombers, Gallantz, Aso Rockers, Ultimate, Eagle Squad, VIP, Golden Shooters, Paradise Machine, Sunshine, Emirate and Ancient Stars will tackle on wit, speed and knowledge of the football industry as a whole and a winning team will emerge through the group stages to the finals.

The initiator and executive producer, Abiodun Oshinibosi disclosed that “The Better Me series of Fanz Championship Africa is basically treading on the background that football as a strong unifying factor globally just like MTN and it enjoys wide acceptance and patronage.”

Fanz Championship Africa is opened to three individuals (families, friends, professional colleagues to form respective teams that will compete in the competition and the better teams progressed through an intense yet exciting process from elimination through to finals to win the grand prize of $10,000.00 (Ten thousand dollars).

“It’s a unique and fresh platform that brands can leverage on and it’s a sustainable engagement drive to connect football fans in positively memorable ways while empowering them,” emphasized Gbenga Oketade, the production coordinator.
