The Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babatunde Fashola, SAN, on Friday approved the re-opening of the Lagos State University (LASU) from Monday February 24, in the overriding best interest of the students, as recommended in the report of the Lagos State House of Assembly’s Ad-hoc Committee on the LASU crisis.
The Governor also approved the sum of N51 million for the repairs of damaged property and facilities in the higher institution based on the assessment done by the Lagos State Ministry of Works and Infrastructure.
The statement advised the students to keep the peace and be of good conduct.
