Fatal! American private plane crashes in Jamaica

An unresponsive American private aircraft – belonging to New York real estate developer, Larry Glazer – crashed into the ocean north of Jamaica after traveling more than 1,700 miles yesterday (September 5).

Confirming the incident, Maj. Basil Jarrett of the Jamaican Defense Force said: “We can confirm that the plane has gone down,” before adding that the plane crashed about 14 miles northeast of Port Antonio.

Search and rescue efforts have begun with the Jamaican military sending two helicopters to the crash site as well as a fixed wing aircraft to investigate. A United States (US) C-130 aircraft was also flying over the crash site.
