Fayemi shuns National Honours, Akinkunmi placed on life salary

Ekiti governor, Kayode Fayemi along with his Kebbi counterpart, Saidu Dankingari and the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun were among those absent at the National Honours on Monday. (Sept 29, 2014).

Fayemi, who was to be honoured with the Commander of the Order of Niger, did not send any representative to the ceremony.

President Goodluck Jonathan also placed the designer of the National flag, Pa Michael Akinkunmi on a special salary of Special Assistant to the president for life (N14.06 million per annum).
