Obviously joyous she has finally found love, Emem who did her court registry marriage on October 3, 2014 and got married the traditional way at Ikot Ekpene, Akwa Ibom state (on Saturday, December 6, 2014) abridged her love story in an exclusive phone interview with us on Monday, December 8, 2014.

“We met, fell in love and got married. That’s all o,” she narrated and shied away from other questions that border on knowing more about her Cameroonian husband, where they met, the things they love about each other, their guests at the quiet wedding, among others issues.

Emem Isong, who had a son from a failed affair, had on Sunday, December 7, 2014 acknowledged the fact she wedded quietly with just a few of her Nollywood colleagues and relations. In fact, she told ENCOMIUM that was how she really wanted it.

Asked if she and her husband would be staging a white wedding next year, Emem simply said, “May be.”

Married to a Cameroonian, Akama Misodi, Emem Isong ‘dragged’ him to her home town, Ikot Ekpene last weekend, where they got married according to the customs and tradition of Ibibio people of Akwa Ibom State.

And with just a few Nollywood faces, probably not limited to star actress, Ini Edo, Mbong Amata and Uduak Oguamanam, attending the Saturday, December 6 traditional wedding, delectable Emem Isong has since been declared officially married.

Interestingly, she also pulled the same measure of shock and surprise that marked her October 3 court wedding which only leaked to the media hours after it took place.

Emem would, however, confirm she got married to her Cameroonian heartthrob, Akama Misodi in an exclusive phone chat with ENCOMIUM Weekly, on Sunday, October 5, 2014.

Emem said, “It’s true but I don’t know who let the information out to the public.”

And not willing to reveal anything about the secret court wedding, the famous filmmaker pleaded with us to respect her privacy, especially when her husband is a very private person.

ENCOMIUM Weekly’s investigations back then did reveal that the registry wedding held here in Lagos.  We further learnt that Emem Isong’s husband who is not based in Nigeria, has no other wife before her, meaning he met the Akwa Ibom prolific film director while still very much single.

Like her Saturday, December 6 traditional marriage which was as secret as it could go, we couldn’t track plenty known faces who attended Emem’s court wedding.
