Finally, Dr. Allwell Orji’s corpse recovered

The corpse of Dr. Allwell Orji was recovered at 4:00 pm today  (Wednesday, March 22, 2017), around CMS area of the Lagos lagoon.

The body of the suicide victim – who jumped from the Third Mainland Bridge around  Adeniji Adele area on Sunday, March 19, around 4:45 pm – was retrieved by the Marine Police. And the family of the unmarried 35 year old easy going gentleman have identified the corpse.
The news of the shocking suicide left many in distress as the story was recounted repeatedly.
Dr. Allwell Orji was said to have received a call as he was being driven towards the Island, when he told his driver of three months, Henry Ita, that he should stop the Nissan Xtrail jeep (LND 476 EE). He claimed he wanted to urinate. He alighted, walked to the railings and jumped into the lagoon.
Frantic search commenced to locate the body by Lagos State Emergency Management Agency joined by divers and Marine Police shortly after.
And his body was recovered three days after the tragedy.
