First Call: Frank Okamigbo celebrates birthday with the destitute

On Saturday, October 31, 2015, the front man at D’Place by Papas, Frank Okamigbo, aka Papas, was a year older. The upwardly mobile dude and appreciable group of friends visited Okobaba Home of the Destitute at Ebute Metta, Yaba, Lagos, as part of the celebrations.

Frank Okamigbo gave the inmates bags of rice, cartons of Indomie noodles, bags of salt, mathematical sets, notebooks and cash.

On the entourage were Africa’s best DJ, Jimmy Jatt and DJ Humility who thrilled with dancehall music in a dance competition for the kiddies. An 11 year old girl won the keenly contested competition pocketing N20,000.

 

KENNIS MUSIC’S JOEL AND ENTOURAGE STORM D’PLACE BY PAPAS

On Wednesday, November 4, 2015, at about 2am, JoEL of Kennis Music with his 10-man team stormed D’Place by Papas.

They arrived the jollification haven in Kennis Music transit bus and four exotic cars.

They rocked the club until about 4:10am before they filed into the bus and their respective cars and vamoosed into the early morning darkness.

 

5 STAR RECORD’S E-MONEY AND TEAM CHILL AT D’PLACE BY PAPAS

On Saturday, October 31, 2015, at exactly 1:45am, a team of 5 Star Records led by the President of the outfit and CEO of Emmy Cargo, a freight company, E-Money Okonkwo, were at D’Place by Papas niteclub, Lekki, Lagos, in a convoy of six jeeps.

The team were at the fun spot to felicitate with Birthday Boy, Frank Okamigbo. Harrysong, an artiste on the stable of 5 Star Records was the special guest artiste of the night. He was in his elements as he thrilled.

At about 4:30am, the 5 Star Record team pranced out of the club guarded by five anti-riot policemen and they zoomed off.

 

SEGUN AWOLOWO JNR WASHES JEEP AT OANDO CAR WASH

In the afternoon of Sunday, November 1, 2015, spotted Mr. Segun Awolowo, Jnr when he brought his Mercedes Benz jeep to be washed at Oando Filling Station car wash, Awolowo Road, Ikoyi, Lagos.

After the thorough wash under his supervision, he pulled the jeep to the filling station to refuel. That done, he dashed the pump attendant some cash and drove off.

 

BAYO AMUSAN REFUELS AT AWOLOWO ROAD STATION

Spotted Mr. Bayo Amusan, Vice President of Polo Club, Awolowo Road, Ikoyi, Lagos, on Sunday, November 1, 2015, at about 5pm on Awolowo Road, Ikoyi, Lagos. He was refueling his blue Mercedes Benz bus. And as soon as that was done, he sped off.

 

PRESTON & PORTERS’ FOLABI AND DAPO OLATUNJI OFF TO MILAN AND US

The duo of Dapo and Folabi Olatunji, owners of upscale Preston & Porters fashion house, Lekki, Lagos, are out of the country. Their destinations are the commercial city of Milan in Italy and the United States of America. We learnt their mission in Europe and America is to shop for the yuletide and New Year celebrations.

The two blood brothers who left the country on Monday, November 2, 2015, are expected back in two weeks.

 

PHENOMENON’S FRANCIS AZUH SHOPS FOR XMAS IN THE US

Mr. Francis Azuh of Phenomenon Fashion House, left for the United States of America on Tuesday, November 3, 2015. We have it on good authority that Francis Azuh would be shopping to replenish his Phenomenon fashion house for the Christmas and New Year festivities.

He will be in Uncle Sam’s land for three weeks.

 

FUNMI ANJORIN ACQUIRES TUMMY TRIMMER

Mrs. Funmi Anjorin, wife of city clothier and boss of Anjoreen Couture, Babatunde Anjorin has acquired a tummy trimmer from Games, a physical training outlet at Shoprite, Lekki, Lagos.

The acquisition of this equipment is exclusively to checkmate her increasing weight.

 

MUSTAPHA GATTUSO HOSTS FRANK OKAMIGBO AT G12 BEACH BAR

G12 Beach Bar owned by Mr. Mustapha Gattuso organized a special nite out on Sunday, November 1, 2015, in celebration of his mentor, Frank Okamigbo aka Papas of D’Place by Papas niteclub, Lekki, Lagos.

The throw down was at G12 Beach Bar, Lekki, Lagos. In the house were Julius Agwu, Bioye Ayoku of Aramis niteclub, Prince Sola Oniru, Anjoreen Couture’s Babatunde Anjoren and a host of other celebrities.

The Birthday Boy, Frank and Bioye Ayoku arrived the beach at exactly 2:15am and left at 5:10am.

 

SAFEQUIP’S YOMI JOLAOSHO MOVES OFFICE TO ALAKA ESTATE

Mr. Yomi Jolaosho, son of Ambassador Jolaosho and Managing Director of Safequip Company Limited, has moved his Falomo, Ikoyi, Lagos office to a better and more spacious one in Alaka Estate, Surulere, Lagos.

Mr. Yomi Jolaosho has been recuperating from stroke for over four years. Spotted him on Saturday, October 31, 2015, around Kam Salem House, Ikoyi, Lagos, walking with the aid of a walking stick. With his present health situation, there’s improvement.

 

MAGNIFICENT INTERIOR DEMOLISHED

Magnificent Interior, owned by Mr. Sola Adebayo, has shut the interior décor outfit. A visit to the showroom on Akin Adesola Street, Victoria Island, Lagos, revealed that the furniture company had been demolished and another structure is being put up on the land.

We scooped that the furniture company had moved away long before the demolition.

 

FLOWER PLUS’ YEMI AND FUNMI ADEYEYE IN TOWN FOR XMAS AND NEW YEAR

Prince Yemi Adeyeye and his beautiful wife, Funmilola, owners of Flower Plus on Maitama Sule Street, Ikoyi, Lagos, are in town.

They are based in the United States of America and visit every three months to supervise their business interests.

Yemi and Funmilola Adeyeye arrived the country with special flowers for events and Xmas home decoration.

They flew in on Sunday, November 1, 2015. The amiable couple will spend the Xmas and New Year in Nigeria before going back to their US base.

 

ACE COMEDIAN  AY’S RANGE ROVER IS NOW BLACK

A-list comedian, Ayo Makun, famously known as AY, has changed the colour of his Range Rover jeep. The registration number remains CFR, but the colour is now black. Spotted the jeep in the morning of Monday, November 2, 2015, at Lekki toll gate, Lagos.
