First call: Obaro Ibru causes a stir on Admiralty Way

Obaro Ibru, who just returned from the United States of America, caused a stir with his Hummer H3 jeep on Wednesday, January 22, 2015.

Creating a stunt on Admiralty Way, Lekki, Lagos, Obaro caused a heavy gridlock as he was braking randomly while another black Benz S600 with registration number, CA 01 drove behind him.

Obaro was however, called to order when his convoy’s conduct affected other motorists.

Ailing king of night life, Akeem Sodeinde has totally withdrawn from social circles. Said to be facing serious health challenge, Sodeinde was not looking good when we ran into him in Lekki, Lagos.

TENNIS STAR, JONATHAN IGBINOVIA COMPLETES AJAH BUILDING

African tennis star, Jonathan Igbinovia has completed a storey building in Ajah, Lagos. We learnt his elder brother would be taking care of the edifice since he is always not around. Igbinovia is based in the US. He actually relocated his mother to America weeks back.

The Ajah building would be officially opened when he returns.

Telecom expert, Olayinka Johnson has finally made it to the US. He went with his wife and two children aboard Delta Airlines on Wednesday, January 21, 2015. Olayinka has 18 month US visa.

THE BRAITHWAITES FAMILY RETURNS TO THE UK AFTER YULETIDE

Elder statesman, Dr. Tunji Braithwaite who usually celebrates Christmas with his family in the UK, did the unusual in 2014. He rather invited his family to join him in Nigeria last festive period, some of the Braithwaites have however returned to the UK, leaving the elder Braithwaite, Dr. (Mrs.) Braithwaite and son, Olumide in the country.

They are expected back in two weeks.

We spotted him driving out of his office on Norman Williams Street, Ikoyi, Lagos. Looking healthy when we saw him, he was driving his ML 63 Benz jeep. Mallam Sadiq is an in-law to Dr. Tunji Braithwaite. He married his first daughter based in the UK.

Gee’s Nightclub on Admiralty Way, Lekki, Lagos, has been shut down. Now known as De Bank nightclub, it would be officially opened in the first week of February 2015.

The defunct Gee’s Nightclub is owned by popular politician, Ms. Grace Mbata.
