First call: WAS ALI BABA SOLILOQUISING?

On Thursday, December 17, 2015, at about 6pm, spotted ace comedian, Ali Baba on Etim Inyang Crescent, Victoria Island, Lagos. He was all to himself in a black Mercedes Benz S550 with registration number 50 ALI sandwiched by two other cars. He was soliloquizing (maybe about his January 1 show). I had to leave him alone after about 30 minutes.

 

OLU  MAINTAIN  AT CLUB   PAPAS – On Tuesday, December 15, 2015, at about 2am, Yahooze crooner, Olu Maintain drove a red Navigator jeep into D’Place by Papas, Lekki, Lagos. The jeep has customized registration number OLU 2. It looks like Olu Maintain is plotting to relaunch himself into music mainstream. Little wonder he has been sticking around music great, 2Face.

 

BUBE OKORODUDU IN TOP SPEED – On Sunday, December 13, 2015, at about 5pm, sighted the Chief Executive Officer of Car Link, Bube Okorodudu on Ajose Adeogun Road, Victoria Island, Lagos. The car dealer was driving a black 2015 Range Rover jeep with registration number AAA 151 CN.

He overtook some cars and disappeared towards 1004 flats. He was just too fast.

 

 

QUILOX NITECLUB CELEBRATES @ 2 – Quilox niteclub on Ozumba Mbadiwe Road, Victoria Island, Lagos, was two on Thursday, December 17, 2015.

The owner of the club, Shina Peller organized a novelty football match in the afternoon of the same day to celebrate the occasion.

 

DAPO ABIODUN’S SON JOINS RHYTHM FM – Businessman cum politician, Dapo Abiodun’s son, Gboyega Abiodun has veered into disc jockeying. The six footer is now with Rhythm FM.

As soon as he finished school in London, he picked up the job.

 

BLD RESTAURANT’S OPALEKE BACK – Owner of BLD Restaurant/Bar, on Admiralty Way, Lekki, Lagos, Opeleke is back. He was away for six weeks. Spotted him in his bar in the evening of Saturday, December 12, 2015.

 

XCAPE NITECLUB REOPENS – Xcape niteclub which was under renovation for two months reopened on Friday, December 18, 2015. The club is managed by Richard Nnadi.

AKON AND CREW CHILL AT SIP NITECLUB – At about midnight on Friday, December 11, 2015, spotted US-based music star, Akon with his crew at SIP Restaurant/club on Akin Adesola Street, Victoria Island, Lagos.

His stay at the club was very brief. As soon as he stepped out of the club, he got into a tinted Toyota Landcruiser jeep and they zoomed off.

 

TENNIS STAR JONATHAN IGBINOVIA BACK TO THE US – America based African lawn tennis champion, Jonathan Igbinovia, who was in Nigeria for the release of his first single, Nothing for Nothing, is gone back to base. The launch of his first effort in music held at D’Place by Papas niteclub, Lekki, Lagos on Friday, December 11, 2015, and he left the next day

 

TECNO PHONES SPONSORS PEACE WALK – Eti-Osa Youth Initiative Organisation led by Hon. Deji Martin-Laurent staged their yearly peace walk on Saturday, December 19, 2015. The peace walk tagged The 4th Walk started about 7am and ended in the evening to accommodate a music concert at night. This year’s peace walk was sponsored by Tecno Phones.

 

DV8 NITECLUB CHANGES NAME – DV8 niteclub on Adesola Hopewell Street, Victoria Island, Lagos, has been shut for renovation. Meanwhile, a new management has taken over and the name changed to Metro Niteclub.

Debo who used to own the club has handed over possession of the club to a new owner. As soon as we get the name of the new owner, you shall be posted.
