FIRST CALL: YEMI SAX STRANDED?

Could it be that famous saxophonist, Yemi Sax was stranded on the afternoon of Wednesday, July 8? Although Yemi’s friends sharply disagreed with this notion. His mien at a Zenith ATM pavilion around Lekki Phase I, Lagos, this particular day can lead anyone to this subjective conclusion.

 

WANDE COAL HANGS OUT @ D’PLACE – At about 2:10am, Thursday, July 9, 2015, music star, Wande Coal stepped into D’Place by Papas to have fun. He cruised into the hangout in his silver Lexus jeep.

Minutes later, MC Galaxy drove in in his new silver Prado jeep with registration number, MCG.

 

DOTUN KUTI SPOTTED! Animal care specialist, Dr. Dotun Ransome-Kuti is very much dedicated to his job. Sighted the veterinary doctor attending to a patient (a dog) brought in by a white lady. That was at his clinic on Femi Pearse Street, Victoria Island, Lagos.

 

DV8′ DEBO SNEAKS OUT – Man about town and boss of DV8, the popular bar at Elegushi Beach, Lagos sneaked out last Tuesday night. Almost incognito in his Toyota Corolla, Debo was sighted at Lekki Toll Gate at about 1:45am.

A proud owner of fleet of luxury rides, including a Ferrari, G-Wagon and Range Rover, the club owner usually prefers his modest Toyota Corolla at odd hours.

 

FRIDAY IGBINOVIA RETURNS TO BASE – Friday Igbinovia is back to his US base after his court wedding on Saturday, July 4. The elder brother to lawn tennis star, Jonathan Igbinovia who left our shores on the night of Tuesday, July 7, 2015, would be joined by his wife, Bose in no distant time.

 

BOVI @ FUN TURF – Enterprising comedian, Bovi was at Fun Turf last Tuesday. He chatted with friends before exiting the celebrity fitness, relaxation and event centre.

 

OREZI ALSO SPOTTED – Also in town was Shoki master, Orezi. We spotted the dude along Admiralty Way, Lekki, Lagos on Tuesday, July 7. He was cruising in his red Range Rover SUV.

 

UCHE OLISEH JETS IN – Uche Oliseh, who has been out of the country for some months now, is back. The younger brother of the new Super Eagles’ coach, Sunday Oliseh called at the lounge he was managing before he abandoned it, not long ago.

While at Fun Turf, Uche was chatting and drinking with friends. It is unclear if Uche Oliseh has resolved his disagreement with his partners at the lounge.

 

QUILUX SET TO REOPEN – It appears Shina Peller’s Quilux would soon reopen as remodification of the lounge nears completion. The lounge now has additional VIP entrance which is still in the works. Quilux was shut weeks back.

 

FUNNY BONE, ONAZI STORM D’PLACE – Fast-rising comedian, Funny Bone and football star, Onazi were all at D’Place by Papas last Friday (July 3). Storming the hangout around 1:15am with eight others, they rocked till about 4:4am.

Onazi came in a tinted Mercedes Benz 550 SUV. And he dashed the club’s security personnel over N20,000.

Also at D’Place on Saturday night was rap star, M.I, who breezed in at about 2:05am. He left at exactly 4:30am in his white G-Wagon Benz.

 

FUN FACTORY EXPANDS – Celebrity fitness and event centre, Fun Factory has expanded. The company recently installed more kid play machines and other leisure equipment.

 

DAKOVA, KOLA ALAGBADA SIGHTED – Famous fashion designer cum politician, Dakova and his friend, Kola Alagbada were engrossed in a chat on the night of Saturday, July 15.

Our roving reporter actually ran into the duo around Lekki end of the Lagos mega city where Dakova parked to discuss issues with the former Kwara Commissioner for Special Duties.

 

TUNJI BRAITHWAITE WORSHIPS @ ST. PAULS – Guess one of the high profile worshippers at St. Pauls Church, Breadfruit Street, Lagos Island, Lagos, on Sunday, July 5? That was elder statesman and radical lawyer, Dr. Tunji Braithwaite.

The former presidential candidate of the defunct Nigerian Advanced Party made it in his new white Sequoia SUV with registration number, JJJ 722 EKY.
